Each year approximately 1.5 million children and adolescents in the United States experience the divorce of their parents, and even more experience the separation of their parents. The impact of divorce on a child can lead to higher levels of risk in school, personal life, and future relationships, but some children become resilient and overcome many of these risks.

Our purpose at What About Me is to give EVERY child the opportunity to overcome the risks that divorce and separation causes.

Divorce and separation is a disruption for everyone involved, and at the center of this disruption is the financial burden placed on families. This is why all programs and materials for Children and Parents will be provided at no cost to the parent, because we believe that all children deserve the opportunity to overcome the divorce of their parents, regardless of financial ability.
